If I had to pick just one nymph to carry with me, it would undoubtedly be a GUN. They get down through the water column and the rubber legs and tail do a fantastic job of adding life to this pattern. I don’t go on any trout or yellow fishing excursion without a heap of these. I tie them in the traditional way: Black thread body and a chartreuse hot spot. There’s nothing quite like it.
