“No man steps into the same river twice, for it is not the same river and he is not the same man.”

– Heraclitus

Fly-fishing is far more than just a sport or a hobby to us. It is the most wonderful opportunity to not just get out into nature but to be actively interacting with nature. Aware of all the bugs around you, searching for scum lines or reading the rivers. It is a sort of conscious meditation in mindfulness. The perfect moment to allow all thoughts of work, stress, and even life in general to float away and to be perfectly present. In the moment, alive with the possibilities that may come your way.

Our aim is to promote fly-fishing. To break down the walls barring the entry of non-fly-fisherman. Although many see it as an elitist sport, and for many years it was, but that is no longer the case. Fly-fisherman, in general, are the friendliest, most welcoming people you could meet. Everything I have learned over the years about fly-fishing is due to the kindness of fellow anglers taking the time to talk to me, to show me flies and techniques. That, in itself is the most wonderful thing.

I have tried my best to pay that forward with any person who may shout across to me on the bank “Hey! What fly are you using?”. It is so wonderful to find someone passionate about the sport actively asking questions, I get so much joy from explaining an aspect of fly-fishing that I believe I know well.

So if you find yourself standing on a bank some where and across the way, some guy is hammering fish and you can’t seem to even catch the tree behind you, ask them for some advice. I promise you, they will be over the moon to lend a hand. Don’t keep quiet, don’t take away the chance to make someone’s entire day.

So, long story short, this page is dedicated to growing the sport of fly-fishing. From tips & techniques to fly tying tutorials. A safe space to ask the “dumb” questions and receive nothing but solid, positive advice. To build up our “family” of fly anglers.

So please, don’t be shy. Reach out. We would love to help wherever we can.
